Group therapy
The advantage of group therapy is the fact that it provides “a training environment for life”. What could be too risky or at lest difficult in the real life you can easily try in the group of other people. Moreover you gain a feedback how other people perceive you and with this information it’s than easier to change your own behavior. Besides you will learn how other people deal with their difficulties. Therefore you’ll not feel like being alone in troubles and you can also learn from other people mistakes. In spite of the fact that group therapy is primarily focused on relations problems, it is known that almost every person can take profit of this kind of treatment.
The group usually consists of about six members and it’s regularly held once a week. The group session takes longer time than the individual therapy; one meeting last four hours (including of ½ hour break). My therapeutic groups are open – by that I mean that the people in group are turning; after some time some members leave and to the contrary other join the group. English groups will be held on Tuesday from five till nine p.m., but these days there are not enough people enrolled to start a new group.
